4. Training objectives:
Upon successful completion of the Master's programme in Contrastive Linguistics, research-oriented comparisons, students must achieve the goals set out in Article 2 of the Master's Degree Training Regulation issued by the Ministry of Education and Training, namely: "Master's degree training to help students master in theory, high level of practice, ability to work independently, have creativeness and ability of self investigation, solve the problems of the sector, specialized training."
5. Outcome standards:
1 / Knowledge: Students will be able to have:
- Knowledge of linguistics;
- Theoretical knowledge of contrastive linguistics and related sciences;
- Knowledge of languages and cultures of countries in the world;
- Knowledge of translation and interpretation;
- Knowledge of language teaching in specific areas, conditions and activities;
2 / Skills: Students will have the following skills:
- Detecting and solving specialized problems in the specialized fields trained to take on the task of studying the language for specific purposes;
- Applying knowledge of contrastive linguistics actively and creative comparison to translating, interpreting and teaching;
- Applying appropriate research methods to independently conduct research in the areas of specialization in the field of Contrastive Linguistics: The problems of phonetics, vocabulary, grammar, Semantics, grammar, and so on
- Ability to compare and contrast language, especially thesis writing skills, foreign language thesis or Vietnamese language according to ability;
- Knowing the direction of research and research methods to further study and study further in the field of Linguistics in general and Contrastive Linguistics in particular.
3 / Attitude: Students should:
- Have a scientifically objective attitude to the problems of language and contrastive linguistics;
- Have a critical attitude towards learning and doing research;
- Have a passion and responsibility for work;

4 / Foreign language level: Before defending the thesis, students must self-study to obtain B1 certificate or equivalent level in one of foreign languages.

7. Candidates for entrance examination: According to the Regulation on training master's degree of the Ministry of Education and Training, the regulations of Hue University and the University of Foreign Languages - Hue University.
