Cultural Exchange and Community Volunteer Program with Students from Kyungpook National University 2026-01-21

Between January 12 and January 24, 2026, students from Kyungpook National University (Republic of Korea) participated in a program featuring cultural exchange, community service, and Vietnamese cultural studies, hosted by the University of Foreign Languages and International Studies, Hue University, in cooperation with Ngu Binh Primary School.

As part of the program, students from Kyungpook National University engaged in a wide range of meaningful activities at HUFLIS, including culinary exchanges, teaching Korean to students of the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture, as well as learning Vietnamese and exploring Hue’s cultural heritage through direct interaction with Vietnamese students. These activities significantly contributed to strengthening mutual understanding of language, culture, and daily life between students from both sides.

In addition, with the coordination and support of HUFLIS, Korean students organized a variety of creative and experiential volunteer activities for pupils at Ngu Binh Primary School. This included Taekwondo instruction, guidance on simple scientific experiments, and foam-based art activities. The initiatives helped create a lively learning environment, allowing pupils to learn through play while developing their skills and fostering interest in science, physical activities, and the arts.

The program not only offered valuable experiences for students from both universities but also helped strengthen the cooperative and friendly relationship between the University of Foreign Languages and International Studies, Hue University and Kyungpook National University. At the same time, it promoted the positive impact of international exchange programs that are closely linked to community engagement and social responsibility.
