1. Training objectives:

After completing the French language studies training programme, students will be able to master specialized knowledge of language theory and practical skills. Students will improve their professional skills and master the ability to discover as well as solve practical tasks in the fields related to French language / culture. Students are provided with practical basis required for the study of a doctoral degree.

2. Training duration: 24 months

3. Candidates for Recruitment: According to the Regulation on training master's degree of the Ministry of Education and Training, the regulations of Hue University and University of Foreign Languages, Hue University.

4. Graduation condition: According to the Regulation on training master's degree of the Ministry of Education and Training, regulations of Hue University and Hue University of Foreign Languages ​​- Hue University.

5. Outcome standard:

+ Knowledge: Students must master the following knowledge:

- General knowledge of linguistics and interdisciplinary sciences;

- Deep understanding of French language and culture;

- Knowledge of scientific method in language;

- Knowledge of French comparison with other languages.

+ Skills: Students will have the following skills:

- Solving professional issues in the specialized training

- Applying knowledge of the education of the world and countries in the region into teaching, work and life.

- 4 C skills (communication, cooperation, creativity, critical thinking).

- Developing special French language skills for writing scientific texts.

- Having ability to participate in interdisciplinary research on French language, French culture and French-speaking countries.

Attitude: Students should:

- Have a scientifically objective attitude to the problems of language;

- Have a critical attitude towards learning and research;

- Have a passion for work and responsibility for work;

- Have a lifelong learning spirit.

+ Foreign language level: Before the thesis is protected, students must self study to get B1 in English or equivalent.

6. Eligibility:

6.1. Candidates for Recruitment:  Candidates must meet one of the following conditions:

- Having a regular-language diploma relevant to the registered major.

- If the bachelor is irregular or dual-language. That candidate must participate in extra programme to learn subjects with a condition that he/she has graduated from another regular foreign language programme.

6.2. Working experience

- Graduates who have graduated from university or higher, graduates who are graduated right or suitable to the registration field, are eligible to apply immediately after graduation.

- Other cases must have at least one year of professional experience in the field of examination registration since graduation (from the date the Principal signs the graduation decree) to the date of publication. Sign up for the contest.

7. Programme Structure:

- Volume of general knowledge: 60 credits.

- General Knowledge: 7 credits

-  Basic knowledge: 16 credits, of which:

+ Compulsory subjects: 12 credits;

+ Elective subjects : 04/08 credits.

- Specialized knowledge: 28 credits, of which:

+ Compulsory subjects: 22 credits;

+ Elective subjects : 06/12 credits.

- Graduation (Thesis): 09 credits

8. Graduation conditions: According to the Regulation on training master's degrees of the Ministry of Education and Training and the regulations of Hue University.
