1. Training objectives:
- General objectives: This curriculum aims at training students seeking a Bachelor degree in International Studies. Graduated students are required to meet the following criteria:
Having appropriate political views and moral standard
Having awareness to serve the community
Having basic and systematic knowledge of social sciences and humanities, international studies and related specialisations, being able to apply their knowledge do research on national, European, American, and international issues.
Being able to use one foreign language proficiently to study the major with four skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
- Specific objectives:
+ Ethical qualities:
Being compliant with laws, guidelines and policies of the Party, and State; being compliant with Marxism and Leninism as well as Ho Chi Minh’s ideology and socialism, having professional working behaviour; being consistent, diligent, enthusiastic, and responsible.
+ Knowledge:
Acquiring quite in-depth knowledge of foreign cultures and languages; developing communication skills in a foreign language that allow students to master their professional skills.
+ Skills:
Developing skills to apply international studies knowledge to solving problems in their working and researching processes.
Developing the ability to do research on international relations
Bachelors of International Studies should be able to work in different fields such as researching, teaching international relations or serving in fields related to international issues and diplomacy. More specifically, they can work at international relations offices of colleges, universities, institutes, foreign affairs agencies, private or governmental companies, international NGOs.
2. Training duration: 4 years
3. Volume of Knowledge: 138 credits (Excluding Physical education (4 credits) and Defence Education (165 periods)).
4. Candidates for Recruitment: Based on the recruitment regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
5. Training process and Graduation conditions: In accordance with the Regulation 43 of the Ministry of Education and Training.
6. Grading Scale: In accordance with the Regulation 43 of the Ministry of Education and Training.
