During 2 days (11 &12) of October, 2019, VietTESOL international convention 2019 (VIC2019) was held at University of Foreign Languages, Hue University. The convention is cooperatively organized by VietTESOL association, the National Language Project and University of Foreign Languages, Hue University.

VIC2019 attracted nearly 240 papers presented in the plenary sessions, parallel sessions, poster presentation, and technology fair, with the topics focused on exchanging the ideas and experience in teaching English, professional development, and applying technology in English teaching. 70 foreigners among nearly 500 people also attended the convention.

There are leaders of the Departments of MOET and Management board of National Language Project; Management board of Hue University; national and international delegates who are experts, scientists, lecturers at universities, colleges, general English teachers and journalists at central and local press participating in VIC2019. With the goal of creating a dynamic professional forum, connecting all teachers, researchers and other managers, in order to develop the English teaching community, to promote science research and practice of English teaching in Vietnam in a positive and diverse manner. At the Closing Ceremony, the Organizing Committee also highly appreciated the professionalism in the organization, promotion, live broadcast, especially the facilities for the successful workshop. The organizers empowered the co-organizer of the 6^th VietTESOL convention to the University of Foreign Languages Studies, University of Danang.
