Training workshop on ECL international examiners 2018-07-23
With the aim to develop testing ability for language teachers, in the period from July 7 to 12, 2018, University of Foreign Languages, Hue University cooperated with IBA International Language Training Institution, and the European Consortium for the Certificate of Attainment in Modern Languages (ECL) to organize the training workshop on ECL international examiners for teachers of English, Russian, French and German from different universities and training institutions nationalwide.
The training workshop attracted 78 teachers of English, Russian, French and German from University of Foreign Languages, Hue University; Hanoi Open University; University of Foreign Languages and Studies, Vietnam National University Hanoi; Vien Dong College and other IBA branches of language training. These teachers were trained with 5 experts of different languages from ECL.
On the first day, a seminar was held so that the experts and teachers can exchange the experiences in language teaching and assessment as well as the experience in applying of 6-level language proficiency testing system worldwide, especially in Europe. Also, the structure and format of the ECL test was also introduced on the first day. With the workshop on following days, the ECL experts introduced to the teachers the ECL language skills test (Listening-Speaking-Reading-Writing), and they also together analyzed and evaluated the ECL tests. A trial ECL test of ECL was also held on the last day so that the teachers could apply what has been learned to real practice. All attendants have done well and got certificates from the workshop.
