The University of Foreign Languages, Hue University welcomed and worked with Mr. Wilfried Eckstein, the Regional Director of Goethe Institution 2020-12-01

On the morning of November 30, 2020, Mr. Wilfried Eckstein, the Regional Director of Goethe Institution in Hanoi paid a visit to the University of Foreign Languages, Hue University to formally discuss between the two institutions on promoting the German language training in the coming time in Hue City and in the Central region, Vietnam. 

 

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thi Hong Nhung, the Rector of the University; Dr. Nguyen Van Huy, the Head of the Office for Academic Affair; Dr. Nguyen Vu Quynh Nhu, the Head of the Office of Research Management & International Cooperation presented and warmly welcomed the delegation.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed more about the demand of studying German among undergraduates and the training of German teachers. Mr. Wilfried Eckstein highly appreciated the efforts of the University in developing the training of German teachers and made a commitment to support the University through consultation and activities as the University prepared to launch German language program. The Goethe Institute will also continue to support the development of a German language space at HU-UFL to promote German Language and Culture to students and teachers. The Goethe Institution is a cultural organization of Germany having operations over the world and is dedicated to providing support in universalizing the study of German abroad and promoting culturally international cooperation. Every year, the Goethe Institution Hanoi organizes German language courses, practical sessions, and seminar for German teachers.
