Hanoi-Goethe Institute’s Director and the delegation paid a working visit to the University of Foreign Languages, Hue University 2022-03-22
On the afternoon of March 22, 2022, Mr. Wilfried Eckstein, Director of Hanoi-Goethe Institute; Mr. Steffen Kaupp, Vice Director; Ms. Le Thi Phuong Hoa, manager of the Admissions Department had a meeting with Rectoral Board of the University of Foreign Languages, Hue University.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thi Hong Nhung, Rector of the University; Dr. Nguyen Ho Hoang Thuy, Vice Rector; Dr. Nguyen Vu Quynh Nhu, Head of the Office for Research Management & International Cooperation; Dr. Nguyen Van Huy, Head of the Office for Academic Affairs and Ms. Minh Tam, a teacher of the Faculty of English for Specific Purposes, attended the meeting.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thi Hong Nhung expressed her gratitude to Mr. Wilfried Eckstein and members of the delegation for visiting the University of Foreign Languages, Hue University. She expected that the University will continue to receive the support of the Director and Hanoi-Goethe Institute’s leaders in international cooperation activities of the University, especially the activities to support the training of German language teachers to continue studying the post-graduate program to get master degrees in order to bring German as a second foreign language into the University's curriculum and cultural exchange activities between the two institutions.
Mr. Wilfried Eckstein appreciated the University's aspirations, directions for future cooperation development. He also supported the University in training more German language teachers and improving teachers’ qualification approved by the Goethe-Institute to have the human resources to teach German in order to meet the needs of learning German language of the University of Foreign Languages students in particular, as well as students of other university members of Hue University in general and invited German-trained teachers of the University to participate in the cultural exchange activities of the Goethe-Institute in the coming time.
After the meeting, Mr. Wilfried Eckstein and members of the delegation together with the Rector and members of the University visited the University's campus, the German cultural corner at the University's building for specific purposes. The meeting was successful in a warm atmosphere with more cooperation plans in the future.
